Hello boils and ghouls!
Just wanted to make a quick post, mostly to test Jaydon's new wicked cool website features, but also to make a few comments about our progress since we closed at the end of October.
It seems like each year, we have less and less downtime. I remember years ago, the most we would do over the winter is have a few planning meetings. Now, if we don't utilize every free moment from November 1 until the snow melts, we simply won't have the time to accomplish everything we need to for the next show!
This year is no exception. We really did not take any break, and broke ground on a few special projects right away. While these projects are not necessarily instrumental to the show, they WILL make the experience that much more fun for the cast and crew at Frightmare Forest.
Don't worry, though, we do have one HUGE construction project that impacts the show greatly. You won't miss it when you arrive at the forest next year! It is unlike anything you've experienced at a haunted house before...
So what have we been doing? Well, all of our shopping is complete for next year, and we have enough material to keep our small army of construction people busy for quite some time. To help keep things rolling when the snow does melt, we have been building what we can in garages. We almost have all our new wall panels done! (The walls throughout the entire show this year will be a minimum of 8' tall!!!)
Lots of tech work has begun already, too, but this post is long enough. I will tell you all more about it sometime soon.
